INSANE PERFORMANCE BMW N54 ONE PIECE CRANK HUB 4 PIN kits are designed and manufactured in Lithuania and made from a solid block of thermally absorbed, heat treated steel and milled on a 5 axis precision CNC machine to create what we believe to be the strongest crank hub kit on the market today!

Insane Performance's crank hub is offered in a 2 pin and upgraded 4 pin design for those looking push their N54 to the limits while having greater peace of mind.  Please keep in mind neither version has had a known failure with 1200+ vehicles on the road today and counting.  Insane Performance's 2 pin crank hub has also been tested up to 1000+ WHP without issue. 

This kit includes all the necessary components to successfully replace the stock OEM crank hub with our single piece crank hub. Insane Performance's kit includes hardened crankshaft damper bolts at no additional charge.

Fitting:

Installing the Insane Performance 4-Pin Crank Hub is a detailed process that should be performed by a skilled technician familiar with BMW N54 engines. The installation involves precise drilling and alignment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. fitting includes a new timing chain, guides, seals, tensioner, all necessary screws (including cam and sump bolts), as well as gaskets, ensuring a thorough and reliable upgrade.

Optional Upgrade: ACL Performance Bearings:

For extra peace of mind and added engine strength, it’s a smart move to upgrade to ACL Performance Main Crankshaft Bearings during the crank hub installation. ACL’s Race Series bearings are built to handle more stress and higher RPMs, making them a great choice if you’re pushing your BMW to its limits. Adding these bearings can improve the engine’s durability and reduce the risk of wear under heavy loads.

Why Consider Rod Bearings?

Rod bearing issues, while not as common on the N54 as on other BMW engines, can still happen—especially if oil quality is poor or oil change intervals are stretched too long. Worn rod bearings can lead to serious engine damage if left unchecked. Note: Crank hub fits both left-hand drive and right hand drive.

INSTALLATION:

We suggest that this Crank Hub Kit ONLY be installed by a highly qualified shop and technician.  Note: BMW specialty Crankshaft Alignment N54 Timing Tool and flywheel tool are required in order to complete this procedure.
