Developed for the listed application, this polyurethane component is designed to reduce excess movement at the relevant mounting point and provide a more consistent connection between the drivetrain and chassis.
IMPORTANT – CHECK FITMENT BEFORE ORDERING
Powerflex applications can vary by chassis, model year, factory option, bush location and component size. Please match the listed vehicle details and Powerflex part number PFF5-4650 to your vehicle before ordering. If your vehicle uses a size-specific bush, measure the original component or anti-roll bar where applicable.
Product Overview+
Tuneable engine mounts to suit your driving demands. This mount uses a combination of our Red 65A and Purple 80A materials and can be stiffened further using the Black 95A pins. It fits 6-cyl models only except the E46 Xi and Convertible models, and for the E9* it fits the M3 only. It will not fit any 4-cyl petrol models. An increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted. We do not recommend fitting these mounts to diesel-engined vehicles due to excessive NVH. The graph above shows Load vs Displacement, peaking at 5mm displacement. PFF5-4650 is just under 200% stiffer than OE at 5mm compression, increasing to 300% with the 4 adjuster pins installed.

Frequently Asked Questions+
Q: Will this fit my BMW 3 Series E46 Sedan Touring Coupe Convertible?
A: This listing is specified for BMW 3 Series E46 Sedan Touring Coupe Conv 99-06. Always confirm the chassis, variant, component size where relevant, and Powerflex part number PFF5-4650 before ordering.
Q: Why choose polyurethane instead of replacing the original rubber bush?
A: Polyurethane is commonly chosen to reduce unwanted compliance and provide a durable replacement at wear-prone mounting points, while the exact change in feel depends on the bush location and vehicle.
Q: Will fitting this change noise, vibration or ride quality?
A: It can. Any reduction in bush compliance may transmit more feedback through the chassis. The effect depends on the product, its mounting position and the Powerflex range used.
Q: Is professional installation recommended?
A: Yes where the job requires pressing, cutting, lowering a subframe/drivetrain component, alignment work or specialist tools. Correct installation is important for bush life and vehicle performance.
Q: How can I confirm I am ordering the correct part?
A: Match your vehicle, chassis and any size-specific information to the listing, then verify the Powerflex reference PFF5-4650. DC Prestige can also help check fitment before ordering.
