IMPORTANT – CHECK FITMENT BEFORE ORDERING
Powerflex applications can vary by chassis, model year, factory option, bush location and component size. Please match the listed vehicle details and Powerflex part number PFR57-820 to your vehicle before ordering. If your vehicle uses a size-specific bush, measure the original component or anti-roll bar where applicable.
Product Overview+
PFR57-820 fits all models from 2009 onwards. For any models before this, please use PFR57-520. With impeccably balanced handling, the Porsche 981 & 987.2 Boxster/Cayman inc R are bags of fun to drive, with them rated as being one of the most rewarding sports cars money can buy. However, according to specialists and those in the know, suspension problems are the second most common reason for a 981/987.2 to fail its MOT and the same fatigue seen in the rubber suspension bushes, can be seen in the engine mountings.Prolonged and repetitive strain translated through the engine mounting in combination with the large voiding in the OE bush, results in accelerated ageing of the rubber, with bush failures often seen from around 50,000 miles onwards. PFR57-820 Front Engine Mount Bush is made from our Yellow 70A durometer material and supplied with an anodised outer shell and supporting washers, providing a 20% increase in stiffness over the standard rubber, suiting all 981/987.2 models from 2009 onwards.A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

Frequently Asked Questions+
Q: Will this fit my Porsche Boxster 987?
A: This listing is specified for Porsche 987 Boxster 05-12 - PFR57-820. Always confirm the chassis, variant, component size where relevant, and Powerflex part number PFR57-820 before ordering.
Q: Why choose polyurethane instead of replacing the original rubber bush?
A: Polyurethane is commonly chosen to reduce unwanted compliance and provide a durable replacement at wear-prone mounting points, while the exact change in feel depends on the bush location and vehicle.
Q: Will fitting this change noise, vibration or ride quality?
A: It can. Any reduction in bush compliance may transmit more feedback through the chassis. The effect depends on the product, its mounting position and the Powerflex range used.
Q: Is professional installation recommended?
A: Yes where the job requires pressing, cutting, lowering a subframe/drivetrain component, alignment work or specialist tools. Correct installation is important for bush life and vehicle performance.
Q: How can I confirm I am ordering the correct part?
A: Match your vehicle, chassis and any size-specific information to the listing, then verify the Powerflex reference PFR57-820. DC Prestige can also help check fitment before ordering.
